My Home: Gallery Wall

I have lived in this house for almost FOUR years and yet I have failed to show you guys any of the awesomeness except for when we moved in. Yes, I will warn you on most days it is not the most “designer” friendly house. I have a tendency to forget to take things upstairs. My fireplace is where I set things and usually it’s full of random stuff like photo gear! But anyways, the house is slowly like super slowly coming together besides my studio.

This past May, my friend, Kat and I worked on a wall space that has been empty since we moved in! I had decided last year that I really wanted a gallery wall. Not a gallery wall of just pictures. But a gallery wall of things that are us. I have been researching on Pinterest. My board called Bohemian is probably more of my dream home board than anything else! It’s taken me a bit to figure out what I really wanted. I am loving the uniqueness of it all. The randomness that goes together. If you ever met me in person, you will find out quickly that I love a variety of different things –from music styles to movies to clothing.  (don’t mind the empty frames, we are still deciding what we want for sure in them!)  I knew I wanted something that had whole bunch of different frames and things that meant a lot to me and my hubby.

It’s by no means done, but it is slowly becoming everything I want… I still need to figure out pictures for the frames and a way to add more greenery and maybe an A. One thing I knew I needed on the wall was a watercolor made by my Grandma. It fits in so well.

This picture was a find at an antique store. For like $6. The more I looked at it, the more it looked like a painting of this area. I couldn’t resist even if it is a Christmasy photo! Photo Jul 17, 08 42 48
