Musicals make my heart happy just like Momma Mia did last week. It was so amazing. I have watched over and over the movie with Meryl Streep. But there is just something about seeing it live on a stage. Makes my heart beat faster.
Two Fridays, several friends of mine and I made it into an evening to remember. We went down to CB’s Social Hour for supper. It was so unique.
One of the most unique restaurants that I’ve been to in a while. All of the platters are meant to be shared. So the four of us choose a couple of entrees and some sides to share. The mac and cheese was amazing as well as the roasted cauliflower. We got their chicken tacos with blackberry jalapeno sauce and the cassolet. It was all so unique and delicious! The tacos were a little spicy for me, but other than that amazing! Can’t wait to go back!
Then it was on to Momma Mia. Our seats were in the orchestra area — Row R. Our seats were about perfect for seeing the whole stage and being closer to the action! No pictures during the performance so it’s just selfies beforehand!
It was such an amazing performance. Even the audience was dancing and singing along in their seats. (Confession: I was singing too, but softly.)
It was so good. My favorite part was when Sophie and Shy kissed the first time. Some kid yelled out ‘Yuck’ at the same time. Not even timed! But it was just perfect.I was so sad to have to leave.
The songs have been stuck in my head the last several weeks!
