It’s Spring fever
, I know… But I am dreaming of traveling. (And yes, I totally want that bag!)
As the weather gets warmer and the woods look prettier and prettier, I can’t help it. I want to go for a drive. I want to go somewhere I’ve never been before. I want to go somewhere that will make me dream and hope for the future. I want to go somewhere close. I want to go somewhere far away. One of my friends just got back in February from a once-in-a-life-time trip. They went to Europe with two of their friends for about a month. Her pictures made me sit and just dream. I was stunned into silence of possibilities and in true desires.
For years and years, I have dreamed about traveling the whole world. I have dreamed about backpacking around Europe. I have dreamed about being in certain locations at certain times. I don’t believe those dreams are gone, but I do believe they are changing. They are becoming more realistic to my world. In my life, there is no path that will let me just leave for a year and go exploring. I need to take those trips as I have time and money. I need to stop waiting for a perfect trip and look for the next best thing, a small trip. Then after that trip, another trip. My dreams have changed, but I can honestly say I’m still dreaming of traveling!
