Thursday definitely was a unique very unplanned fun day. We didn’t make any plans for the first day we were in Los Angeles but we had a lot of dreams. The train was 4hours late. So instead of getting there at 8am, we got there at 1130. One brightside of running late is that we got to see most of California in the daylight. 
LA traffic was a little how everyone described it! I had time to take pictures along the way of the art on the side and we got time to take a picture together!
After a minor snapfoo, we headed off in LA traffic to go to the LaBrea Tar Pits from the movie Volcano! We ended up going to someplace called Johnny’s for pizza before heading over to the Tar Pits to explore. Oh my gosh, amazing!!! I had the New York White… Heaven! (Or it might have been the fact that it was like 1pm there time and like 3 our time… But it was still delicious! And my first salad with Chickpeas –strange.
Seriously I think the only reason I know about the LaBrea Tar Pits is because of the movie Volcano. If you have never seen it, it’s a disaster movie staring Tommy Lee Jones and a volcano shows up in middle of Los Angeles. It’s a cute movie and also one I tease my husband about constantly. You see he’s always worked in emergency services since I have known him and well…. Tommy Lee Jones is the emergency management director in this film. 
They are still finding things inside of the tar pits. This one below, if I remember right, just opened up a few months? ago. Long enough to start looking through it!
Then it was on to the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. Going to LA I told my hubby there really wasn’t a lot of things on my list to see besides the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Hollywoood sign. So we stopped there after the tar pits. 
So many amazing actors! After wondering around for a while, we found the place where everyone signs. Sadly I could not find the Robin Williams one. that was really the only bummy part. 
After a long day already and worried we wouldn’t have time in the morning, we decided to make the trek over to where we were supposed to be able to see the sign. The park we were in, was so packed that there was hardly any parking. It must have been a wedding or something at the Griffin Park Observatory building. As we started to leave, we saw a few cars and so we stopped. Luckily, we did! Otherwise, these pictures would not exist in my camera!
You can’t see it but the Hollywood Sign is totally behind us!!! 
After the sign it was time for dinner! Claim Jumper’s was amazing! So delicious and unique. I even tried a chocolate cake that was on the top 5 most decadent desserts… Hmm yummy! ( I miss vacation food) Then it was off to bed to be refreshed for the Warner Brother’s Studio Tour.
