Welcome to my 2016 New Year’s Plans…
- Run more. Do more than 6 5ks before November 2016. Start training for a half-marathon.
Last year, I signed up for 3-4 5ks. As my first one got closer, they moved the date to that Sunday. I was scheduled to work so no 5k. The next one was the Color Run. It went off without too much of any major hitches. Then my next major one I was waiting for. The one I spent my summer making sure I was gaining strength for. The one I was so excited for. About two weeks before, they CANCELED IT!!! They said the insurance was too hi gh and the attendance was down too much so they canceled. I was heart-broken.
Needless to say, the rest of the year went a little down hill health-wise. I stopped walking/running/working out. I said I didn’t have time. Meal planning didn’t go so well. So many things didn’t go so well. I started stressing a ton. Ugh! Need to get back at it…
Which brings us to this year… I’m willing and ready to get back in shape to do it! Now to pull the money together and start registering for the races. And get my butt outside or on a treadmill and start moving!!! I have dreams of a half marathon someday. Who knows maybe I’ll add in a 10k and see how it goes… … If you are interested in the races that I’m looking at for this year, they are listed below.
