Welcome to my 2016 New Year’s Plans…
4. Read 6 Business books in 2016. Read 6 Self-improvement books in 2016. Make a list & Blog about each book.
5. Read 12-24 books for fun. 2 small romance books = 1 book. Make a list of books.
Business Books are one of the hardest things for me to read and the most helpful. Non-fiction books are the worst. They are so wordy and so long. (Okay so that’s not completely true. I’ve read fiction books that are longer, but still.) I can try my best to read them monthly, but I’m lucky if I get one done in two months or three. Ugh, I’m still reading the one I started in November. (Wish me luck I am going to finish it!) I know for my business, I need to continually improve. Business books is something relatively cheap and reading is something I actually like to do. So I’m going to try again, but give myself at least two months to read each one! When I’m finished, I am totally going to stay accountable and blog about them! On my list are a few from last year I never got to, Do Over and Four-hour Work Week.
If you missed 2015’s business books, here are a few.
September’s Business book
October’s Business Book
Self-improvement books are actually one of my favorite things to read, depending on the book. They go quick and are usually things that I just need to hear again. Like on repeat!
Twelve books alone is usually where people stop, but I’m not most people. I really do need to continue to expand my knowledge of literature for writing and just for my creative passion. I have noticed that when my reading is low, my creative juices run low. When my reading is low, I am sucked into watching too much TV… (Movies, I’m addicted, okay?) When my reading is low, times are not so good. So I need to get back to being a reader. Number 1-5 is the rest of the Game of Throne Series!
