Welcome to my 2016 New Year’s Plans…
2. Write a novel. Finish the novel I started during National Novel Writing Month in November 2015 and submit it to be published by 2017.
3. Start planning for National Novel Writing Month 2016. Finish Novel in November 2016.
For years and years and years, I have dreamed about being an author. Everytime I have a piece of a paper and a pencil, I have penned the beginning, middle, or end of a story. A story that I see so clearly in my head. It’s mainly love stories that I see (maybe due to my love of Disney & romance novels). I dream of the craziness that keeps my hero & heroine apart. I dream of them, of their lives. I started a book back in high school that I refused to put down. I have wrote on it for years. Every time I get into a writing mood I go straight back to that one. The problem that I finally faced last year is that I have no plan with it. I have gone back time and time again to revise different pieces. I have changed things, I have skipped ahead. I have wrote too much nonsense when I should have just skipped parts. It is my baby and this fall/winter, I have finally decided to step back from it. I can’t write it anymore without a plan.
In November this past year, I decided to take part in National Novel Writing Month. Too be technical I started Nov 1, planning for November writing month. I took a story I had started from a writing challenge and planned it out. From beginning to end. I started writing and it went great for awhile. Then time started to be against me. I ended up stopping.
This year I’m ready to attack it again. I think I can finish it this year and revise it. I’m hoping to submit it to one of my favorite book companies. *crosses fingers* I won’t tell you yet which one, but I’m hoping…
And then there is November 2016. I’m deciding right now to participate in it. So I need an idea and a game plan! Wish me luck!!!
